ICLTE 2025 is our Vth international conference on Languages, Education and Translation which successfully continues the traditions of LASTE initiated in 2018.
In the focus of the conference is the discussion of drastic changes in the world, global international relations affected by local and international geopolitical processes, rapid development of AI and its penetration in all spheres of life.
The main target of ICLTE 2025 is to create an international forum of researchers and practitioners to discuss case studies, theories, practices, present technological solutions in the field of languages studies, translation and education.

ICLTE 2025 AIMS

- Overview the global processes together with the effects of the innovative digitalization with their influence on language studies, changes in educational paradigms and approaches,

- Shed the lights on innovations in practices and techniques of teaching foreign languages,

- Discuss the destiny of translation and its transformation as a science and a profession,

- Share practices and approaches of implementing new tools and platforms for the purposes of languages studies, teaching languages and other subjects within social studies, translation and language processing.

Blended Mode of Participation in ICLTE 2025

ICLTE 2025 continues traditions of LASTE Conference initiated in 2018.

It is aimed to provide an opportunity for a wide international academic community working in the fields of Language Studies, Translation and Education to participate in the conference and present their research in a blended mode.

The conference is hosted in Bursa (Türkiye).
The participants who would like to combine their participation in the conference with a visit to Bursa can come personally.

The participants who are located in distant countries can join the conference in an online mode.

In-person presenters and attendees will be able to visit Bursa, one of the most beautiful cities of Türkiye.

The IATELS Board and Academic Committee of ICLTE are honoured to be in a close association with Dr. Piet Kommers (University of Twente, Netherlands).
Dr. Kommers is one of the main contributors, motivators and supporters to IATELS and its main events.
Being an early pioneer in media for cognitive and social support, the name of Piet Kommers is known all round the world for his devotion to education, highlighting constructivism as a leading paradigm of modern learning and a crucial role of innovations conditioned by the implementation of social media, ICT and artificial intelligence of nowadays. His main thesis is that technology is catalytic for human ambition and awareness.

Piet Kommers is a pioneer in media education and a leader of NATO Advanced Research Workshops on Cognitive Learning Tools. He is UNESCO professor and a scientific leader with extensive experience in educational technology and social media. Piet Kommers is a Ph.D. holder in Educational and Media Design, with a Master Degree in Pedagogy and a Bachelor Degree in Teacher Education. He received a prestigious academic award for innovation ‘Experimental Design’ and was offered a research position in the collaborative group for problem solving wherein he designed the ‘Concise Urban Planning Task’. He owns a long-term experience at management level coupled with a strategic appreciation and vision. Piet has a strong work ethic with a high level of personal integrity, able to create trust in teams.

Prof. Dr. Iryna Sekret, PhD in Educational Psychology, PhD in Education Studies. She has been teaching various courses on languages, psychology and education at the position of Professor at the departments of different universities of Europe for more than ten years. Prof. Dr. I. Sekret has extended administrative and organisational experience working in various educational establishments of higher education. Being an active participant and a designer of the international research and educational projects she is in charge for the development of IATELS, International Association for Technology, Education and Language Studies. She is a member of a number of academic committees for organising conferences, reviewing boards of journals and conference proceedings. At present she is the Chair of the Board of StartinForum International Consulting Company (Turkey) for managing international educational and research projects. Prof. Dr. I.Sekret is the author of more than 100 publications. Her research interests are in the areas of e-learning, educational technologies, contrastive linguistics, methods of teaching foreign languages, social media in learning, translation studies.

Dr. Amin Davoodi is assistant professor of bilingual/ESL education at the University of Texas Permian Basin. He received his PhD in ESL, technology, and teacher education from Texas A&M University in 2021. Dr. Viktoriia Shabunina graduated from the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology of Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv in 1992 and received qualifications of a philologist, teacher of English and French, English translator. In 1997, she graduated from the Faculty of Law specializing in Jurisprudence. In 2009, she defended the thesis on the topic “The Evolution of Western European Private Law (Historical and Legal Aspect)” and in 2010 she got the degree of PhD in Law. In 2003-2005, Viktoriia worked at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, at the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to Sweden. Since 1996 up to the present, she has been working at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv as the Head of the Department. She is a member of the editorial boards of the conference proceedings and an organizing committee member of a number of conferences in Ukraine.
Her professional interests include teaching General English and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Linguistics and Law, Translation.
